New Certification and Exam Preparation Resources

June 22, 2018 Tina Bolding

Earning a professional certification is a key step in the career path of anyone working in the humanitarian sector. Certifications are a unique opportunity to demonstrate your competencies in specific areas of any job. And recruiters are increasingly looking for applicants with certifications when identifying top candidates for open positions. Whether you are looking for your first assignment or seeking new challenges, a well-recognized certification program can help you develop essential skills, advance your career, and have a greater impact.

Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection (PHAP) is a professional association with the mission to “empower capable and informed professionals to transform humanitarian action.” In support of this mission, PHAP has developed a Credentialing Program that offers a variety of certifications specifically for humanitarian professionals. The first certification in PHAP’s credentialing program called Understanding the Humanitarian Ecosystem (UHE), is “designed for humanitarian practitioners at all levels and others in related fields who need to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the components and dynamics of the international humanitarian ecosystem.”

DisasterReady has partnered with PHAP to provide a unique exam preparation program to help humanitarians earn the UHE certification. Maximize your time by creating a personalized learning plan which will help you:

  • Target the specific areas you need to study
  • Provide easy access to learning resources
  • Track your learning progress

Go to the PHAP Certification page in DisasterReady for all the information and support needed to complete your preparation and earn your certification, including a short video tour detailing the process and options.
