What You Will Learn

Sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) can occur anywhere, both in humanitarian and development contexts. SEA risks are much higher in situations of crisis, where the vulnerabilities and needs of affected populations are the greatest. In the updated version of this online course, you will learn how to:

  • Explain UN standards of conduct on sexual exploitation and abuse and identify prohibited and strongly discouraged conduct

  • Identify obligations of UN personnel and ways of reporting of sexual exploitation and abuse

  • Identify consequences of breaching the UN standards of conduct on sexual exploitation and abuse

  • Identify specific responsibilities and accountabilities of managers in addressing sexual exploitation and abuse
